Our Practice

We pride ourselves on being accessible to both you and your family physician, providing the quality medical care you’ve come to expect from our physicians at Regional Vascular & Vein Institute.

 At Regional Vascular & Vein Institute our physicians and staff are committed to offering the most comprehensive care in the area. We strive to provide a complete range of outpatient vascular surgery services. In addition to treatment capabilities, we offer an in-house vascular lab with diagnostic abilities. We provide surgical treatment of vascular disease, including minimally invasive repair of aneurysms and re-vascularization of the lower extremities.

Jeffrey T. Prem, M.D.

Dr. Prem was born and raised in northeast Ohio and attended the University of Dayton and graduated from Wright State School of Medicine.  After completing his general surgery training he continued his education and completed his Vascular Surgery fellowship at LIJ-North Shore Health System Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He is currently board certified in Vascular Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. 


Dr. Prem has held many leadership positions at both Canton area hospitals and presently serves as the Medical Director of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Aultman Deuble Heart and Vascular Hospital.  In addition he regularly works with medical students to further their education and holds the academic appointment of Associate Professor of Surgery with the Northeast Ohio School of Medicine.  He continues to remain active in research and was recently published in The Lancet on drug eluting peripheral artery stents.  He also serves on the editorial board for The International Journal of Angiology.



His areas of interest include minimally invasive Aortic aneurysm repair, carotid surgery, peripheral vascular disease and limb salvage.  He also has a special interest in the treatment of varicose veins and venous disorders. 


Dr. Prem has been proud to serve the patients of the Greater Canton area since 1999.



Brett A. Butler, M.D.

Brett A. Butler, M.D. is on staff at Aultman Hospital, Aultman Orrville Hospital, Union Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. He is board certified in general surgery, vascular surgery and advanced trauma life support.


An Ohio native, Dr. Butler graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics from The Ohio State University. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery, research and fellowship in vascular surgery, at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr. Butler has extensive research experience, including the Vascular Surgery Research Laboratory at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr. Butler provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for diseases and disorders of the arteries and veins, with the exception of the heart. Traditionally, physicians engaged in the management of circulation problems have divided themselves between the heart (cardiovascular) and the remaining arteries and veins (peripheral vascular). As a peripheral vascular expert, Dr. Butler is committed to stroke prevention, management of aneurysms, limb revascularization, the creation and full management of vascular access for dialysis and hemodialysis. Dr. Butler believes in the principle of tailoring care to fit the needs of individual patients. Depending upon patient age, preferences and associated medical problems, many approaches are usually available.


Vincent L. Sudimak, M.D.

Vincent L. Sudimak, M.D. is on staff at Aultman Hospital, Union Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. He is board certified in general surgery, vascular surgery and is a registered physician in vascular interpretation.

An Ohio native, Dr. Sudimak graduated with a Bachelor of Natural Science Degree from The University of Akron. He received his medical degree from the Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed his residency in general surgery at Summa Health System and fellowship in vascular surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Sudimak provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for diseases and disorders of the arteries and veins, with the exception of the heart. Matthew Todd Miller, M.D.

Matthew Todd Miller, M.D. is on staff at Aultman Hospital, Mercy Medical Center and Union Hospital.  He is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery.

An Ohio native, Dr. Miller graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. His internship and residency were completed in general surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He then went on to complete a two year fellowship in vascular surgery at The Toledo Hospital-Jobst Vascular Center. Dr. Miller has furthered his training in vascular surgery by becoming a Registered Vascular Technician.

Dr. Miller provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for diseases and disorders of the arteries and veins, with the exception of the heart. Traditionally, physicians engaged in the management of circulation problems have divided themselves between the heart (cardiovascular) and the remaining arteries and veins (peripheral vascular). As a peripheral vascular expert, he is committed to stroke prevention, management of aneurysms, limb revascularation, venous disease and the preservation of quality of life.
